Who do you like best? Me. I voted for Athena. I found her beautiful, feisty and intelligent and a great match for Starbuck.

One of the things I liked about BSG was its portrayal of strong female characters. I liked both Athena and Cassie. In particular, I liked how they portrayed them differently in the Long Patrol, as in Athena's fiery temper, in contrast to Cassie's quick comprehension and slightly more mature reaction to Starbuck having dinner with both of them. It was just beautiful. Athena murmuring heatedly, while Cassie merely smiled and nodded. You could almost see her thinking, "That's Starbuck!" Unfortunately, they didn't develop Athena, and basically dropped her. And Cassie went on to match Starbuck, and continue to surprise him, such as in "Take The Celestra". A great Cassiopeia portrayal, when she realizes he has to make his own mind up, but she's mature and patient enough to let him do that. They were well matched. However, there is that Order of the Athena Defenders that has several fabulous fanfics where Starbuck and Athena get back together. Until I read those, I would have been a dedicated Starbuck/Cassie fan. Now I enjoy both pairings. LOL! Heck, I enjoy Starbuck with just about anyone! So I guess I'll vote for "other", since anyone pretty much works for me.

Tough choices, as I like Rigel, Brea and Cassiopeia.

I've voted for Cassie. I like Athena too, she is beautiful, smart and everything, but somehow she is a little too cool for my taste. Cassie is more my cup of tea - and IMHO she knows a lot better how to handle Starbuck I have to admit though that I love the scene when she spots Cassie and Starbuck in the launch tube. Her grin when she pushes the steam button is priceless

I loved all the female leads, but I have to go with Sheba. She was tough as nails and could definitely handle herself amongst the "boys"!!!!
