My all time favourite episode. I loved the introduction of Chameleon as the conman with the classic great, Fred Astaire. Then there were the Borellian Nomen, a nice character departure featuring an alternate society, complete with quirky traditions, and entertaining Blood Hunts. Finally, there was the brilliant characterization of Starbuck, and a look into his past, showing us a vulnerable side to the character. The bonus was the bond of friendship between Starbuck, Apollo and Boomer, and how his buddies were looking out for him.
Wipes eyes . . .

I really like that episode too. It's one of my favourites also. I wish that Chameleon had told Starbuck that he was his Father. I would have loved that. I cried too...

I liked the bittersweet ending, I have to admit. And it provided so much fodder for fanfiction. I swear I've written the "Chameleon tells Starbuck" scene at least three different ways, just to get it out of my system.

As for the bond, I do like how Apollo and Boomer were always looking out for the vulnerable Starbuck, both in this episode as well as the following, 'Murder On The Rising Star'- where it shows they would even go through all odds to clear him. True friendship right there, people!
