There were so many great minor characters in BSG, many there for just one episode. Which would you have liked to see get developed, or have more of a prominent role?

Rigel. I also think she was more than a minor character.

Rigel, I think she was overlooked too much, but I also think her role got blurred with Athena as well. Develop both better, also like to see Boomer's role expanded along with some of the other fighter pilots, such as Brie, and Jolly.

I have to agree that Rigel does need to be developed more. I always liked her. She has a great smile and when she was on the screen, she had an innocence about her. Her smile is infectious, too.
I'd also develop Bojay as well.

Forgot about Bojay. I could see an interesting romance triangle between Apollo/Sheba and Bojay/Sheba, kinda counters the Starbuck/Cassie/Athena one.

Well, I suppose I like Dietra. There was something just straight ahead and gutsy about her. No-nonsense. I actually do insert her into my fanfics with more frequency that the other minor characters.
I also enjoy inserting Jenny, the CWO of launch/landing bay fame from the novels.
Even so, they always take a backseat to Starbuck and Apollo. I'm a die hard classic BSG-er, in that the series to me was about "the boys", and I'm happy to continue in that same vein.

Omega is another character that could use some work.

Gee, poor Stringbean, he just sort of fell through the cracks!!! You mean Greenbean?
No worries....
Even I get messed up with names every now and then...
Just thinking about this...Greenbean has only been mentioned in RH's novels. I can't think of anytime in the books where he's actually spoken a line.

In several of my stories I expand the roles of Rigel and Omega. However I tend to leave out Athena. In the Battlestar Argo (which I still hope to get time to start posting it here) I've expanded Boomer, but you don't hear as much with the others.
